Curbside Pickup Service

How does curbside service work?

1. Request items

App Ipad - Choose-materials

Request up to 50 available items (including books, DVDs, audiobooks, music CDs, and hotspots) through the Library’s online catalog or by calling the Main Library at (714) 647-5250 or the Newhope Library at (714) 647-6992. Library staff will be available at these times to fill requests:

  • Monday and Wednesday: 12 to 7 p.m.
  • Tuesday and Thursday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Friday and Saturday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

2. Await confirmation

PC Email - Await Confirmation

Within 24 hours of your request, you will receive a notification that the items are available for pick-up. Items requested on Friday will be available for pick-up by 10 a.m. on Monday. Items will be held for 3 business days. Due to high demand, hotspots may take longer than 24 hours to become available. Please wait for us to contact you when a hotspot becomes available.

3. Park at turnaround

Car - Park at turnaround

Once you are notified the items are ready for pickup, please come to the Main or Newhope Library and park at the curbside designated areas. Items will be available for pick up at these times:

  • Monday and Wednesday: 12 to 7 p.m.
  • Tuesday and Thursday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Friday and Saturday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
