The Knowledge Mobile debuted at our Día De Los Niños on April 30th, 2022. Since then we have:

Made a total of 281 stops
Attended 43 events throughout the city
Serviced 32,978 patrons
Created 775 library cards
Checked out 8,976 books to patrons

At each stop, we offer the community access to our large, diverse selection of books, STEAM and robotics programs, arts, crafts, and musical materials, and take & make kits. We are proud to bring the Santa Ana Public Library directly to the people of the city.

The Santa Ana Public Library (SAPL) Knowledge Mobile (Know-Mo), is a combination of a traditional bookmobile and techmobile, featuring free public Wi-Fi, computers, gaming, STEAM technologies and much more.

The Knowledge Mobile will allow community members to connect, create and learn with the latest technology, computers, arts, crafts, music, games, audiovisual materials, electronic resources and of course, books in print and digital format. Residents will learn first-hand how to assemble and program robots, utilize STEM technologies, and be able to express themselves through creative artwork and music, or just relax in the park with a good book, watch a movie or play a game. Featured programs will also be designed for neurodiverse youth and include low sensory play and specialized robots that provide assistive learning and behavioral support.
